Lombok is known as the “Island of a Thousand Mosques” with a variety of religious architecture that reflects the dynamics of cultural acculturation. One typical manifestation of this phenomenon is the Ridwan Mosque which adopts Chinese structural elements. The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the symbolic meaning of the Ridwan Mosque architecture as a symbol of piety and beauty. With the main foundation of architectural semiotics, a descriptive qualitative methodology was used in this study. In-depth interviews, participant observation, and relevant documentation were used to collect data. The findings show that the Ridwan Mosque with Chinese nuances is located in Pakuan Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency (NTB), where the mosque was founded by a Chinese convert named H. Muhammad Maliki. The Ridwan Mosque reflects piety and beauty through its distinctive Chinese architectural pattern, namely with a tiered roof resembling a pagoda and a dominant red color, which depicts a peaceful acculturation that shows the symbol of beauty and Islamic ornaments that adorn every side of the mosque show piety to Allah SWT. On the other hand, the placement of meaningful Islamic ornaments, such as calligraphy of the names of the angels and the two sentences of the shahada, as well as the placement of a photo of a Sasak cleric as a spiritual recognition of the founder, demonstrates a symbol of piety. Therefore, the architecture of the Ridwan Mosque successfully bridges ethnic and spiritual identities, making it a hybrid architectural model that offers inclusive da'wah and encourages ukhuwah basyariyah (human brotherhood).
